I was surprised to see this male Blackcap visiting our bird feeders as late as this May. I imagine the unseasonal cold means their insects are few and far between. He is quite feisty and will drive off a rival Blue Tit.









January 1st 2021: Andrew Lapworth was visited by a lovely female Sparrowhawk; she perched for a few minutes surveying the bird feeders before dashing on.
