Ashford Birdwatchers Club is a small group of people with an interest in birdwatching in and around Kent. We hold indoor meetings through the winter and also arrange a variety of field meetings thoughout the year. All indoor meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at St. Mary's Community Hall, Rylands Road, Kennington, Ashford, Kent TN24 9LL at 7.30 pm. New members are very welcome. There is a £4.00 admission fee to cover the cost of the hall and speakers.
There will be a field meeting at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve on Wednesday 22nd November meeting in Rye Harbour Car Park at 10.00 am. Jenny and I will be leading the morning and we will be finishing by 1 pm approx. The car park is free although donations are welcome and there are cafe and toilet facilities. Our next Indoor Meeting will be “What’s in a Name?” An exploration of some of the names of British Wildlife and the stories behind them by Clive Nuttman. This will be held in St. Mary’s Community Hall, Kennington starting at 7.30
